Citizens also gathered at KP North Main Road to hold the government accountable for not planting one tree every 10 metres as per the Tree Act rules.
The Pune Municipal Corporation’s Indradhanushya Environment Education Centre and Rajiv Gandhi Zoological Park conducted an online quiz about sustainable fashion. Their messaging said, “Fashion is said to be a reflection of our culture. What does it say about our culture when it endangers the environment and all living things?”
The quiz had questions about plastic pollution, checked knowledge of concepts like greenwashing as well as responsibilities of bodies like The Environmental Protection Agency and The Federal Trade Commission. There were also introspective questions like, “Instead of throwing out unwanted clothing and contributing to textile waste, what can you do instead?”
