A 48-year-old woman lost her life and her two children sustained injuries when their four-wheeler rammed into a truck on the Pune-Mumbai expressway in the early hours of Monday. The deceased was Vrunda Chinchwadkar,a resident of Ajintha revenue,Kothrud.

Vrunda’s husband Gajanan Chinchwadkar,who works with a private firm in Pune,was recently transferred to China. Vrunda and her son Raghav (13) and daughter Radhika (18) had gone to China to meet Gajanan. After their return flight landed in Mumbai,they started for Pune in a four-wheeler. The speeding car hit the rear side of the truck ahead near Ozarde village around 4.30 am. While Vrunda died,Raghav,Radhika and the driver,Ganesh Bhagwant Chavan (33) of Khed,Pune,have been admitted to hospital.
