Vadgaon Sheri: Burglary bid foiled,man held

Alert security guards of an apartment building in Vadgaon Sheri chased and caught a 22-year-old youth when he was trying to flee after a burglary bid at a flat on Saturday evening.

Alert security guards of an apartment building in Vadgaon Sheri chased and caught a 22-year-old youth when he was trying to flee after a burglary bid at a flat on Saturday evening. Police said the burglar,Ravi Pardeshi,had entered the flat through the bathroom window.

A complaint was registered by ,a resident of Vadgaon Sheri,at Yerawada police station. According to the complaint,the incident took place around 7 pm when Papiha was with her daughter in one of the rooms while her mother-in-law was in the balcony.

Investigating officer S L Dubal said: “The complainant heard the sound of an object falling in the bathroom. As she went to check,Papiha saw a burglar there. She raised an alarm but Pardeshi fled. But he fell down in the process and was nabbed by two security guards and a resident.”
