The Deccan Gymkhana police nabbed two suspects,including a minor boy for allegedly murdering Santosh Sahebrao Bhavar (30) in the open space near Sanjivani hospital last week.
The suspects have been identified as Amol Datta Tapkir (25) and a 17-year-old boy,both residents of Rajendra Nagar in Navi Peth.
Police said that the deceased Bhavar and suspects reside in the same locality. During interrogations,the suspects confessed of murdering Bhavar due to some minor dispute in the past.
Bhavar had gone to Khilarewadi on a two-wheeler with the suspects on Friday night. The suspects attacked him with a sharp weapon in the open parking space near Sanjivani hospital,in the wee hours on Saturday.

Investigations revealed that the suspects were hiding in a temple at Rasalwadi in Mulshi.
A police team comprising assistant police inspector M K Kulkarni,constables Mahesh Nimbalkar,Vinod Chavan,Rajkumar Patil and Santosh Dolas laid a trap and nabbed the suspects. Tapkir was arrested while the minor boy was sent to a remand home.
Police have recovered the motorcycle they had used for the crime. Inspector Jaywant Deshmukh led the investigation.
