Four years ago,the Kamble family had moved from Sangli district to Pune for ensuring a better future of their children. Monday was the toughest day of their life with three of their children trapped under the debris of the collapsed building of Dhankawadi pathar.

“I wanted Nagesh to shift to Pune as there are job options here and the kids would also have a promising future,” said Uttam Bansode,brother-in-law of Kamble.

“Kamble started working as a labour at the market yard and stayed with me for the first two years,” he said, adding that he insisted Kamble to bring his entire family to the city. Bansode with his wife were the first to reach the spot as were in the vicinity. The family had shifted early this month.

“We made a mistake of renting the house when another house in the locality was available,” said Laxmi who was under shock.

Praying for the safety of her children, she lost her control when her daughter Neelam broke down after seeing her mother.

Meanwhile, the relatives expressed their anger over the situation.
