Three arrested for murder of gangster

The suspects have been identified as Dnyaneshwar Taware,Anil Bhagat and Nitin Potghan.

Pune rural police have arrested three persons in connection with the murder of Pappu Taware (32),a criminal on police records and a member of notorious Nilesh Ghaywal gang,who was shot dead at his Jambhali village near Panshet late on Sunday night. Police had said the incident was a fallout of a past rivalry between members of the two gangs over supremacy in the boating business in dam backwaters.

The suspects have been identified as Dnyaneshwar Taware,Anil Bhagat and Nitin Potghan.

Surprisingly ,Taware was attacked by unidentified assailants sometime after a police team which had gone looking for him left the village on Sunday night returned. Taware’s wife has alleged in the first information report that the assailants killed Taware in presence of police. Additional superintendent of police Ravindrasinh Pardeshi had denied the allegations.

The suspects will be produced in a court on Wednesday. Police suspect the three to be members of Gajanan Marne gang and associates of Pappu P
