Theft at Salisbury Park, Pune: Jewellery worth Rs 12.24 lakh stolen

Police said that unidentified persons entered Kothecha's residence by breaking the latches and stole the jewellery.

In broad day light, unidentified persons broke into a house in Salisbury Park and decamped with valuables worth Rs 12.24 lakh on Thursday.

Pramod Nemichand Kothecha (45), a resident of Rohit Apartment in Gultekdi, lodged a complaint in this case at the Swargate police station. Police said that Kothecha works as a project manager with a private group in Bavdhan and is staying with his wife and son at this apartment. Police said he was at his work place and his wife and son had gone to the bank to exchange Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 notes when the theft took place. His wife and son left home around 3.30 pm to head to the bank. When they returned around 4.15 pm, the door of their house was open. Soon, they found that theft had taken place at the house, said police.

Police said that unidentified persons entered Kothecha’s residence by breaking the latches and stole the jewellery. Police are checking the videos captured by the CCTV cameras installed at the building. Police inspector Ram Rajmane is investigating the case.
