Testbook to conduct online exam for clerical jobs in Hindi

Apart from language barrier, many students find it difficult to take test on computers.

Testbook, an ed-tech initiative started by IIT graduates for the first time ever in India, is conducting live online test free of cost in Hindi on December 2, apart from English, for people seeking clerical jobs in banks.

Qualifying exam ‘Common Written Examination for Clerical Cadre (CWE)’, to be held from 6th December by Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) for vacancies in regional banks, is one of the biggest online exams being conducted in India.

Out of 20 lakh aspirants expected to appear for exam, over 10 lakh take the exam in Hindi. On the internet, there’s huge scarcity of resources in local languages for exam preparation, disposing large number of aspirants disadvantaged.The team of six IIT graduates headed by CEO and co founder of Testbook , Ashutosh Kumar did an elaborate survey and identified these problems.

Apart from language barrier, many students find it difficult to take test on computers. Most aspirants come from rural India and have no or very little exposure to taking exam online on computers. The problem accentuates for candidates taking exams in Hindi, as computer education is mostly limited to English speaking population.

This time aspirants will be able to take our mock test in Hindi and assess their performance, giving them edge over English speaking candidates, Kumar said. Testbook is conducting a Live Online Test for IBPS-Clerk aspirants on December 2 (which also promotes World Computer Literacy Day) catering to needs of large number of candidates.
