In the first semifinal of the day,Nadkarni faced off against an in-form Jadhav. Both players began aggressively, serving accurately and hammering powerful ground-strokes. The first set went right down to the wire and finally after a tense tie-break,Jadhav clinched the opener 6-7 (8-10). In the other semifinal in the girl’s category,Salsa Aher prevailed over Sayuri Garud to set up a final date with Nadkarni. Aher took the first set 7-5 with Garud causing a few problems with her loopy strokes. Aher gradually came to grips with the high trajectory and then seemed to impose herself taking the second set 6-2.

In the boy’s categorym Aditya Iyer demolished Harshal Rukhaiyar 6-1,6-1 to move into the finals. Iyer put up an imperious show as he almost toyed with Rukhaiyar employing a network of powerful forehands, which were hit deep along the baseline.

In the second semifinal,Eeshan Lumba fought back gloriously after his opponent Prasanna Bagde took the first set 3-6. Bagde, seemed to be hardly troubled and looked good to seal a final spot, only for Lumba to fire on all cylinders in the second and third set. Lumba pocketed the second set,

6-0,hardly giving Bagde a chance. In the third set,Lumba lost only one game, taking the set 6-1 and progressing into the finals of the tournament.
