Teen daughter of MLA Rohit Pawar’s personal assistant leaves home after tiff, found dead

The body of the 14-year-old daughter of NCP(SP) MLA Rohit Pawar’s personal assistant was found in a village under Pune district on Sunday morning.
Talking about the case, a Pune Rural police officer said, “Initial probe suggests that after an argument with her family members on Saturday night, the girl left her home. Late in the night, a missing person’s case was registered at the local police station. The girl’s body was found near a drain on Sunday morning. The body has been sent for post-mortem examination.”
The minor girl was a student of Class 9.
As part of the probe, the police have started checking footage from CCTV cameras in the area.
“We are trying to reconstruct her movements from the time she left home until her body was found. The post-mortem report will also give us important leads about the cause and circumstances of her death. At this stage, it would be premature to draw any conclusion, and we are examining all possible angles,” another police officer said.
