GiveIndia is organising a month-long online portal in collaboration with four city-based NGOs to Mother’s Day celebration that aims at helping the orphan children. The four NGOs that are supporting the cause are Vidya Bhawan Society,Udayan Care,Catalysts for Social Action and Society of Friends of the Sassoon Hospitals (SOFOSH). Workshop at Katraj zoo

A two-day workshop was conducted for senior citizens at the Rajiv Gandhi Zoological Park and Wildlife Research Centre at Katraj recently. The workshop focused on informing senior citizens about the zoo’s biodiversity conservation,various aspects of zoo management,animal upkeep,health and nutrition,bird sanctuary conservation and how they can contribute in wildlife conservation being zoo volunteer. The workshop saw speakers like Ashwini Shitole,education officer,Vilas Gogate,ex director of National History Museum,New Delhi,Prabhakar Kukdolkar,retired forest officer amongst others.
