After having made news the world over for her innovative style of playing the piano,internationally acclaimed piano virtuoso Ang Li will be performing in the city on July 7. The programme titled ‘Mostly Liszt – The Years of Pilgrimage’ will see Li perform pieces of Wagner-Liszt,Chen Peixun,and Schubert at the Mazda Hall in Camp. Li is a regular performer in the Americas,Europe and Asia and has performed at The Kennedy Center in Washington DC,Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center in New York,and at the Ruïnekerk of Bergen in the Netherlands,amongst others. To celebrate the 200th birth anniversary of Franz Liszt,Li’s concert will be centered around one of the composers most prolific creative period,’The Years of Pilgrimage’. The concert is a part of her worldwide tour to promote Liszt’s music and will also be held at the Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall in New York City,The Edinburgh Festival Fringe in Scotland,a live broadcast performance on Radio Television,Hong Kong and a nine-city tour of India.
