‘Students need to broaden horizon of thought’

Freedom fighter and jurist Chandrashekhar Dharmadhikari on Sunday appealed students to broaden their horizon of thinking for remarkable progress in life.

Freedom fighter and jurist Chandrashekhar Dharmadhikari on Sunday appealed students to broaden their horizon of thinking for remarkable progress in life.

Speaking as chief guest at the 18th Foundation Day of the Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University (BVDU),he said,“Students should be role models for society. They should strive hard to ensure that success comes their way,rather than run after it.”

Dharmadhikari gave away the annual life-time achievement award instituted by the university. Marathi actress Usha Chavan,poet-politician Namdeo Dhasal,Hivare-Bajar village head Popatrao Pawar,writers Maruti Chitampalli and Muralidhar Shingote were recipients of the award comprising Rs 51,000 and a memento.
