Student’s body recovered from Temghar dam in Maharashtra

Animesh Ashish Ghosh, who's body was recovered from the Tamghar dam, was a resident of Mulund in Mumbai.

The body of a 21-year-old engineering student, identified as Animesh Ashish Ghosh, was recovered from Temghar Dam on Tuesday afternoon.

Ghosh was a resident of Mulund in Mumbai. He had come to Lonavala with his friends on Saturday night to celebrate a friend’s birthday.

Police said that on Sunday morning, the group came to Lavasa and ventured into the dam water at Khadakwadi village in Mulshi taluka.

Animesh drowned when he went too deep into the water and failed to resist the current. His friends informed police, following which a team of Mulshi police and fire brigade started a search. Local villagers too joined in the search operation. Ani-mesh’s body was recovered at around 12 pm on Tuesday.
