An idyllic bungalow, copper jhulas and Kothimbir vadi on the menu, that’s the Puneri avatar of the world’s largest coffee giant,Starbucks. Located in Koregaon park,Pune’s flagship Starbucks cafe was unveiled on Saturday evening to the media and guests.

The Starbucks team has added a surprise for the Puneri palette, with the contemporary versions of Kothimbir vadi (coriander cutlets) and Puran poli (a sweet flatbread made from ground chickpeas) on the menu.

The Kothimbir vadi is served in the form of a sandwich, prepared with curd spread, wasabi mayonnaise, cheese, tomatoes and iceberg lettuce,in fresh semolina bread. The Sweet gram danish,a viennoiserie puffed pastry with a centre stuffed with gram and jaggery paste,is the modern version of the Puran poli. These dishes are exclusive to Pune

Copper,a primary resource traced to the earliest history of this city, has been weaved in throughout the store to honor the rich cultural and copper heritage of Pune.
