Prathamesh Sawant of Thane scored a 73-72,56-07 win over 24th seed Anthony DGama of Poona Goan Institute to register the first upset at the fourth edition of the Poona Club-Manisha Open and Invitational Snooker Championship 2009 at the Poona Club tables on Wednesday. Turf Clubs Zubin Registrar,seeded 11th in the event,scored two back-to-back wins. In the first match,he scraped past Chintamani Jadhav of Corner Pockets 95-12,61-66,50(34)-40,and in the second he beat Ishan Bhale of PYC Gymkhana 53-12,61-09.
