The leg one champion Anand Raghuwanshi led the charge of Deccan Gymkhana cueists as he scored a straight-frame win to cruise into the third round of the second leg of the Pioneer Snooker League Satellite Series Challenge tournament at the Deccan Gymkhana on Friday.
Anand decimated fellow Deccan cueist Santosh Dharmadhikari 79-25, 49-17 in the second round match to assert his supremacy over green baize.
Sushil Dhonsale of Deccan Gymkhana also won when he rallied to beat Hrishi Ramaiya of RCBC 25-64, 48-16, 52-13. Also, scoring a hard-fought win, Kaiwaly Chavan of Satara beat Jaydeep Khandekar of Deccan Gymkhana 16-51, 51-44, 49-26.
PYC Hindu Gymkhana’s Arun Barve, Akash Padalikar of AP’s and Gaurav Jaisinghani of Washi also moved into the third round with straight-frame wins.
Arun Barve defeated Yogi More of Trick Shots 46-31, 75-53; Akash Padalikar beat Tejas Pawar of Trick Shots 76-14, 56-49 and Gaurav Jaisinghani overcame Wagish Wadekar of Trick Shots 72-41, 62-37.
