For those who appreciate the hard work which goes into manufacture of handloom,Banjaras,a natural fabric store located in Aundh,offers a variety of collection sourced from all various parts of India. The collection consists of handloom ikkat and hand-painted kalamkari from Andhra Pradesh and the finest range of fabrics,stoles,sarees and dupattas in elegant silks and cottons. This exciting display-cum-sale offer is available on September 10 and 11 between 10 am and 8 pm and will conclude with a midnight event on September 12 between 5 and 12 pm.

Height of adventure
The National Education Foundation (NEF) is organising a one-day trek to Fort Kothaligad,situated to the east of Karjat. Located at a height of 1500 ft,the fort is an easy climb for beginners. The trek will include transportation and also breakfast,lunch and tea. The fort has temple carvings dating back to 13th century A.D. and has its own place in history. It was captured by the British from the Marathas and then recaptured from them in the 18th century. The trek will commence on September 13 and the registration fees for the same is Rs 500 per person. Celebration rock
Lovers of rock music have another reason to rejoice as a series of rock concerts are being held in cities across the nation. Titled Independence Rock 24,the first of them will start in Kolkata and then proceed to Delhi,Pune,Bangalore and Mumbai. The event,spread over 25 days,will see close to 40 bands performing in five concerts. The grand finale of the event will be held on October 3 and 4 at the Chitrakoot Grounds in Mumbai and will feature winning bands from each city finale.
