Legacy restaurant,by the Nawab Group is coming out with a unique Kebab and Biryani Festival. Starting today,it will be on till March 8 at the joint’s Viman Nagar outlet. Pune foodies can savour over 20 tantalising kebabs,a wide variety of biryanis,an exquisite range of salads,in addition to stuffed naan and mouthwatering desserts. As any food festival is not really complete without music,guests can enjoy live music here every evening,ranging from the instrumental to retro and from karaoke to qawwali. And what better way to enhance the entire dining experience with complimentary beer and wine on the house.

Reality bites
Thirty men,11 cameras and a harried lot of students planning out the college festival,sounds familiar! No! Well then get ready to familiarize yourselves with the latest offering by Channel [V,a reality show titled MCDONALD’S [V IN YOUR FEST. A campus based reality show that takes the viewer on a tour of the seedy back stages of what goes on in planning a college event,and the amount of trials and tribulations that the students in the planning department face and how they deal with the same. Says one of the spokesperson for the event,“The organisers had tied up with two colleges in India,firstly SRCC,Delhi for their annual cultural festival Crossroads and SIMC,Pune for their festival Fest O’Comm. Usually a lot of in fighting,bitching and much political play are a part of the back stage drama.”

“VJ Juhi of Channel V will be present in the city for promoting the show on March 4. The episode with the SIMC event Fest O’ Comm will be aired this Friday,” says a spokesperson.

Science simplified
Inter-University Centre for Astronomy and Astrophysics (IUCAA) celebrated the National Science Day by observing Open Day for Public on Saturday,February 28 from 11:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. During this period many events enhancing the value of science were run back to back to acquiant the audiences with the intricacies of the subject. The latest trend in astronomy and astrophysics research was displayed in the main building of IUCAA that was followed by a question answer session on astronomy and astrophysics. Astronomy films will be screened in Chandrasekhar auditorium and the students of Loyola School gave a SciToys demonstration. Also a water rocket demonstration was arranged along with an exhibition of telescope.
