With politics heating up for the Assembly and Lok Sabha elections,Shiv Sena corporator Pramod Bhangire and former NCP corporator Sunil Tingre on Monday joined the MNS.
Bhangire is a Sena corporator in PMC from Hadapsar area. His joining the MNS is being seen as a setback to the Shiv Sena as his exit might influence the results of Assembly and Lok Sabha polls in the area. Sena legislator Mahadeo Babar represents Hadapsar Assembly constituency while Shivajirao Adhalrao-Patil is the MP from the area.
Tingre was denied party ticket in 2012 civic polls to make way for the supporter of NCP MLA from Vadgaonsheri Bapu Pathare. The MNS does not have a strong leaders in Hadapsar and Vadgaonsheri. By inducting the two,it is trying to make inroads in the area.
