Neha Dhupia and Sonu Sood were in Pune on Wednesday to promote their new movie,’Maximum’. The film, directed by Kabeer Kaushik, also stars Naseeruddin Shah. Dhupia, who plays the role of Sood’s wife in the film, says,“I used to undermine the role of a housewife and a mother earlier but it is the most selfless and crucial role. I’m glad I got to play this role even if it means deglamorizing my looks.”

Sood, who is essaying a lead role after a significant amount of time says that he considers his roles as a part of the whole film and has a preference for roles that excite him as an actor. “My character in the film speaks very little so the real challenge for me to work on the expressions,” says Sood, adding that he did enough homework before the shoot began. “I personally met some cops in Delhi and Punjab,” he says.

Both,Sood and Dhupia are all praises for Shah. “We’ve grown up watching Nasser Saab’s movies and he was a great teacher on the set.” To this Dhupia adds,“He is the only actor I have seen who is seamless in what he does. In my earlier movies,I have played the roles of his girlfriend and wife. This time I am his rival’s wife. I thought he might not be as nice to me as he was in the other movies but he was the same!”
