A party cookery workshop for ladies was recently hosted by Chef Subhajit Sadhukan,executive chef at Hotel Hindustan International,Viman Nagar. The chef demonstrated fuss-free dishes and gave tips on how to set up a delectable salad counter in minutes and revealed some of his signature recipes. Sadukan emphasized the techniques used to whip the cream,fold in the egg white and sugar and the gentleness required in mixing the reduced pulp of the fruit. Other handy recipes like Classic Balsamic dressing,Honey Mustard dressing,Veg-Cesar dressing,Ranch,French dressing,Coleslaw,Russian and Greek salad were taught to the ladies. The ladies sincerely followed the dress code,which was ‘Patiala’,with bright coloured kurta-patialas and traditional jewellery.
Digitally cinematic
Celebrating the 100 years of completion of Indian cinema,the National Film Archives of India (NFAI) launched the website http://www.indiancinema100.com dedicated to the same. Detailing the history of Indian cinema right from the first film ‘Raja Harishchandra’ to its present day status,the website will feature a select collection of film posters and photos. In addition it will also have a rare and exclusive collection of images of film luminaries like Satyajit Ray,Bimal Roy,Guru Dutt,Raj Kapoor,V Shantaram,Hrishikesh Mukherjee,B R Chopra,Shammi Kapoor,Nargis,Waheeda Rehman,Asha Parekh amongst others. In addition,it will also have data on landmark films and documentaries that have over the last 100 years been a part of the NFAI collection. People will also be allowed to contribute articles for the site,which after careful scrutinisation by a panel of experts will be put up on the website.
Atif in Pune
Atif Aslam will perform in Pune today,at The Big Dream Festival organised at The Corinthians,NIBM Road. Aslam will attempt to give the audience a taste of Pakistani music and the event will focus on unifying the diverse cultures,religions and differences of our culture through the generations. The concert is scheduled between 5 pm to 10pm.
