THE MAHARASHTRA State Council of Examinations (MSCE) has declared the dates for the Pre-Upper Primary Scholarship (PUP), Class V, and Pre-Secondary Scholarship (PSP), Class VIII, examinations for this academic year. The exams will be conducted on February 18, 2018, and online applications for the same will be accepted from November 8.
In the last examinations, 21.43 per cent students had cleared Class V, while 13.45 per cent passed Class VIII. Till two years ago, the exam was conducted for Class IV and VII. As per the schedule, applications with regular payment of fees will be accepted between November 8 and December 7, late fees will be accepted between December 8 and 15, while long due fees can be paid between December 16 and 31, following which no applications will be accepted.
The exam will mostly comprise multiple-choice questions, with one correct option. However, 20 per cent of the questions in Class VIII paper would provide two correct options.
