RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat to install Ganesh idol at Ram Mandir themed pandal in Pune

RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat will Tuesday install the Ganesh idol at the Shreemant Dagdusheth Halwai Sarvajanik Ganpati Trust pandal, which has been based on the design of the under-construction Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, Pune.

“The Ganesh idol installation pooja would be carried out by RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat at the pandal,” said Hemant Rasane, secretary of the trust.
“The UP Chief Minister is unable to come for the inauguration. It will now be done by warkaris,” Rasane said.
He said that the trust has selected a replica of the Ram Mandir for decoration this year so that the citizens would get a preview of the temple that is coming up in Ayodhya, adding that the decoration structure will have a Lord Ram statue and the Ram Setu at the entrance. “There will also be statues of Hanuman in the decoration,” Rasane stated.

The trust has also made arrangements for the security and safety of citizens visiting the pandal. The entire area has been installed with CCTV cameras and police will keep a close watch on all movements. The trust will also be deputing its volunteers at the pandal for assistance of the public and managing the crowd which is expected to go up to five crore in ten days.
The trust has also decided to participate in the immersion procession on the tenth day in the afternoon as against the practice of midnight, which it hoped will also encourage other Ganesh mandals to finish their immersion procession much earlier than in the past.
