The Pune Division of Central Railway has launched a drive against touts,unauthorised vendors,and seat cornerers and nabbed a person indulging in a malpractise.
During the surprise inspection by Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Alok Badkul along with Senior Commercial Inspector Karan Singh and Chief Commercial Inspector M. Murli,one person was caught trying to procure reserved tickets unauthorisedly. Rs 15,000 of cash and three filled-up reservation forms were recovered from him. The person has been handed over to Railway Police Force (RPF) for prosecution under section 143 (B) of Indian Railway Act.
Similarly,during the ongoing joint drive preventing malpractices in mass contact areas,by RPF and Commercial Branch,one person was apprehended,who was trying to corner seats in general compartment at Pune station.
Meanwhile,the Railway Ministry has decided to run the Deepawali special trains to clear the extra rush of passengers. Few trains will start from Pune including the Pune- Howrah Superfast Special,Pune- Ahmedabad. A few trains will pass through Pune like Dadar (T)-Hyderabad Biweekly Train.
