PUNE: Passengers travelling in AC 1,AC 2,executive classes will have to shell out extra money from Sunday as fair hike declared in the rail budget will come into effect from April 1. The revised tariff will also be applicable to tickets issued in advance for journey commencing on or after April 1,2012. In case tickets are already issued at old rates,the passengers should pay the difference of fares either to TTEs in trains or at booking offices before the journey, Y K Singh,PRO,railway said. An additional window (No. 29) has been opened at Pune Station at round the clock basis to collect the difference in fares. The platform tickets will also cost Rs 5 from Sunday.
