(File) For the third consecutive year, the civic administration of the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) has decided not to hike taxes, especially property tax.
Municipal Commissioner Shekhar Singh has maintained status quo on property tax for the fiscal 2024-25. Officials said it means there will be no hike in property tax in the new fiscal.
Officials said for a new financial year, the civic administration has to take a call before February 20 regarding hiking taxes or rates. Accordingly, the commisisoner took the decision on Wednesday.
Besides no hike in property tax, the municipal commissioner has also made no changes in conservancy tax, fire brigade tax, education tax, tree tax, water tax, road and drainage tax. The general tax has also not seen any change.
