Driving his Subaru Impreza WRX, Takale weathered broken driveshaft and a puncture during Day 2 of the rally, but waded his way through the rain-pounded terrain on Sunshine Coast in Imbil forest to earn 12 points for finishing fourth in the overall championship and 8 bonus points. Takale is now in 4th position in the overall APRC standings behind Gaurav Gill, Fabian Kreim of Germany and Michael Young of New Zealand. “We finally finished. We had some problems, but I think that’s the character of the event. It’s dry, wet, slippery and very difficult terrain and you always have to be on the ball, as it can catch you off guard easily,” said Takale.
