Operations at Pune airport showed significant improvement on Tuesday, with 98 IndiGo flights, including 49 arrivals and 49 departures, operating as scheduled, while 16 flights, including eight arrivals and eight departures, were cancelled according to data given by officials from the Airports Authority of India (AAI). The IndiGo helpdesk was largely empty, with only a few passengers seen approaching staff to resolve their grievances.
Several passengers reported smooth travel experiences. “I was glad that my flight from Dehradun to Pune (6E 402) was completely on time as I was travelling with my family,” said Devendra Tupe. “I have a flight from Pune to Chennai (6E 6714), as of now everything seems to be on time and I am going to board soon,” said Juilee K. “We just arrived from Patna (6E 126), our experience was very good and the flight was right on time,” said Pramod Singh.

Some passengers shared minor inconveniences but expressed relief that their journeys concluded without much disruption. “Apart from the fact that they damaged my bag, my flight from Delhi to Pune (6E 6857) arrived as per schedule,” said Shaina Chhabra. “We had a flight from Delhi to Pune (6E 6924) yesterday but it was cancelled so we had to stay in Delhi for a day at our own expense. We had just come from Japan, but our alternate flight today was on schedule and we were comfortable throughout the journey,” said M S Kokate.
A few anxious travellers visited the helpdesk only to reconfirm their flight status. “We are flying tomorrow from Pune to Nagpur (6E 2447). We came here to confirm our flight schedules as we didn’t want any last-minute issues,” said Pranjal Ubale.
Navigating refunds and alternate arrangements continued to pose challenges for some. “Our Pune to Andaman (6E 6745) flight on the 5th was cancelled, our honeymoon was ruined. We had a return flight on the 10th and we are here now to get our refund,” said Sneha Gaikwad. Another passenger Mukul Halder said, “I just got a message that my Pune to Kolkata (6E 2774) flight tonight was cancelled, so I’m here to confirm what the situation is and hopefully reschedule it.”
Airport Director Santosh Dhoke said the situation at Pune airport has largely stabilised. “Out of the 114 scheduled IndiGo flights, only 16 were cancelled. Within one or two days, we are expecting full normalcy with zero cancellations. Senior officials from the Ministry of Civil Aviation visited the airport today to check several parameters, and all facilities were found to be very satisfactory. All 10 aircraft parking bays are operational, neither aircraft nor passengers are stranded, and most of the baggage situation has been sorted. The system is 100 percent stabilised, and my team is continuously monitoring the situation to ensure that passengers do not face any inconvenience”, he said.
