In another incident, a teenager died by suicide in the police colony inside Shivajinagar police headquarters
In a shocking incident, a man died by suicide in front of his wife on the premises of Shivajinagar court, on Saturday afternoon.
Police have identified the deceased as Sohail Yenighure (28), resident of Pashan. Police said Sohail had a quarrel with his wife on Saturday at their residence. Police said the couple then came to Shivajinagar court that afternoon as they wanted to get a divorce, but they again started to quarrel at the court premises.
As per the legal procedure, an accidental death report was lodged at Shivajinagar police station and a probe was initiated to confirm the cause behind the incident.
“It was an off day for the court. So there were not many people at the court premises when the incident took place. The man died by suicide in front of his wife. Further investigation is on,” said senior police inspector Chandrashekhar Sawant.

Police identified the deceased as Rushikesh Dada Kokane (19). Police said he was a student of second year arts at a college in Pune city. His father Dada Kokane is a police personnel attached to the State Reserve Police Force (SRPF).
Police said Rushikesh died by suicide at his residence in the police colony in the night. On Saturday morning, family members noticed that he was not opening the door of his room. Later, when they managed to enter the room, he was found dead.
Police were informed about the incident. There was no suicide note, but police found a video, which suggested he was upset due to complications in a relationship, said senior inspector Sawant.
