Prohibitory orders imposed in Pune rural areas till July 10

To maintain law and order in the Pune Rural area, Additional District Magistrate Namdev Tilekar has issued prohibitory orders under Section 37 (1) and (3) of the Maharashtra Police Act, 1951, from 12.05 am on June 28 to midnight on July 10.

According to this order, carrying any incendiary or explosive substance, carrying stones or weapons to be fired, sticks, spears, swords, clubs, sticks, guns and any object that can be used to cause bodily harm, displaying and burning the picture of any person, symbolic corpse or picture of leaders, giving loud slogans, playing musical instruments has been prohibited.

It is also prohibited to make inflammatory speeches that may endanger civility or morality or endanger the security of the State or incite to overthrow the State, to behave in a manner that may endanger law and order, to gather more than five people under sub-section (3) of section 37 and to hold a meeting or take out a procession without the prior permission of the Pune Rural Superintendent of Police.
