The police custody of the three accused arrested in connection with the murder of Mumbai-based businessman Vinod Broker (85) and his assistant Usha Nair (51) has been extended till May 13.
During the investigation,police recovered a pair of shoes of Broker from Malshej Ghat which the accused had thrown there after murdering the two. Broker and Nair had gone missing on April 30 and their burnt bodies were recovered from Khandala in Satara on May 1.
Investigations revealed that Broker wanted to sell his sea facing Janaki Kutir near Juhu. Police arrested real estate agent Ibrahim Ismail Shaikh (38),his accomplice Ravindra Shankar Reddy of Khar (east),and cab driver Nitin Dayabhai Bhatiya (51) of Vikhroli.
Public prosecutor Suchitra Narote told court that Brokers valuables were yet to be recovered and more custody was required for further interrogation.
