Now,pick your favourite fruit and let that reveal your future,as fruit astrology becomes the latest buzzword in occult circles

Take out a couple of minutes and take this little ‘fruity’ quiz. Do you like mangoes? Yes! Then, chances are you are a person with strong likes and dislikes. You enjoy getting involved in something that is mentally challenging. And forceful as you may be,you are a kitten in your sweetheart’s company.

Come again, did you say? Ok,here goes. Is orange your favourite fruit? If that’s a yes again, you tend to be shy,are a reliable and trustworthy friend and have a strong aesthetic sense.

Whoa! Fruits are no longer limited to your palate. They are slowly entering the realm of the occult. Fruit astrology and numerology is fast catching up among astro-fans,who’ve explored everything from roadside astrologers to socialite tarot card readers. Sample this: If pineapple is your fruit, you are mercurial in temperament; if you like apples, you’ll make a good team leader; if papaya works for you,you have a good sense of humour; and if fruit for you spells custard apple, you are pretty ambitious.

“Fruit astrology,if used correctly, isn’t just about discovering your character and personality. It’s also about making the right decisions about change, about creating a life that uniquely satisfies you,” says city-based astrologer Dolly Manghat.

“Suppose you realise that you fancy a particular type of fruit, just give it a little more thought. And the answer to your ‘fruity’ attraction will be clear. People who suffer from diabetes have a particular liking for fruits which are too sweet, like grapes and custard apple, because their bodies are low on sugar. While those who suffer from hypertension tend to like watermelon and muskmelon – typically cooling fruits – as they have a high ‘fire’ quotient in their systems,” Manghat elaborates.

The numbers game also comes into play here. As Pune-based numerologist Swetta Jumaani says,“If in their diet, people include food suitable for them numerologically, they could find their health taking a turn for the better. If you are a Number 1 person, you are likely to lead from the front and hence are likely to suffer from heart problems, week eyes and exhaustion. So,pomegranate, oranges and dates are the fruits for you. Whereas,if you are a Number three person, you can take your pick of fruits from cherries, strawberries and peaches,” adds Jumaani.

So,the next time you pick up a juicy pear or a melt-in-the-mouth custard apple, remember it’ll not just satiate your craving but also speak volumes about your health and personality.
