As many as 38,150 online registrations were done in Pune district for Teacher Eligibility Test,which will be held on December 15,said ZP officials who were given the responsibility to carry out the registrations.
Of the 35,022 candidates,as many as 32,069 candidates have paid the fees for the exam. The total number of forms received so far from all talukas is 22,351, said officials.
An official said that the total seating capacity in Pune district is 31,041. The number of exam centres and other logistics are yet being worked out. Within 2-3 days everything will be sorted out , he said.
Mushtakh Shaikh,Education Officer,ZP,said,As per the states instructions,every district has formed a district TET committee with the ZP CEO,City Police Commissioner and District Education officers ( Primary and Secondary). They will meet soon and discuss the matter to conduct the exam smoothly.
As per the Right to Education Act,2009,all states have to conduct TET for recruitment of teachers to all types of schools. Both D.Ed and B.Ed candidates will have to secure 60 per cent marks to qualify for the exam. The online forms are available on Maharashtra State Council of Examinations(MSCoE) website http://www.mscepune.in.
