With house break-in cases on the rise in rural areas,the Sahyadri Industries Ltd. (SIL),a Pune-based company engaged in manufacturing and marketing of building materials,has decided to take anti-theft doors to the countryside. The steel made doors which are already in demand in the city are being marketed for the first time in rural areas in view of the increasing number of theft cases being reported. Called Entasafe,the doors combine aesthetics and complete security. M Satyanarayana,senior vice-president (marketing) SIL,said,Entasafe doors are precision engineered and long lasting with minimal maintenance. They are very simple to install and is a DIY (Do-It-Yourself) product. He said the doors are available in various wood grain texture finishes that offer a natural wood like appearance. Besides being fire resistant,they act as a potent security tool against home intruders,he said. The company said it has already sold over 3,500 doors in Pune .
Volkswagen motors on
Volkswagen has sold 6,529 vehicles in February 2012. The favourite carlines of the brand were the Polo and the Vento,which sold over 6,000 units this month. Neeraj Garg,Member of Board and Director,Volkswagen Passenger Cars,Volkswagen Group Sales India Pvt Ltd,said,The year has started on a positive note for the industry and we look forward for a positive growth this year, stated a press release.
Farmers at expo
The seventh international flora expo 2012 along with 4th horti expo and 6th international landscape and gardening expo 2012 is scheduled to be held from March 3 to 5 at NSIC exhibition complex,Okhla,New Delhi. Several farmers from Pune district are participating the expo.
Sanjeev Chopra,Joint Secretary and Mission Director of National Horticulture Mission (NHM),Ministry of Agriculture,said that the year of horticulture is more than a formal declaration.
