Dates for MPSC civil services exam, Maharashtra board, CBSE and ICSE boards out

The MPSC Civil Services Gazetted Prelims as well as board exams are scheduled to be held in the coming months.

MPSCMPSC will add a fifth MCQ option from March 2026 for “none of the above,” with negative marking for unanswered questions.

School students and civil service aspirants in Maharashtra are gearing up for the exam season as the Maharashtra Public Service Commission as well as state and other educational boards have announced their schedules.

The Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) Civil Services Gazetted Preliminary Examination 2024, which was postponed in August, is scheduled to be held on December 1. The results are expected to be announced in March 2025 and the Mains exam will be held in April, according to the MPSC website.

MPSC Gazetted Preliminary Examination 2025 is scheduled to be held on September 28 of that year and the announcement for this is expected in January. The dates for the MPSC Gazetted Main Examination have not been released yet. Further details are available at https://mpsc.gov.in/home.

School board exams

The Maharashtra Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examination 2025 for Class 10 will be held from February 21 to March 17. The exam begins with the First Language paper and ends with the Social Sciences II – Geography paper.

The Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examination for Class 12 will be held from February 11 to March 11. HSC exams will begin with the English paper and end with the Sociology (A/S/C) paper.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Class 10 board exams will be held from February 15 to March 18. CBSE Class 10 students will have to appear for the English Language paper first, and Computer Science the last one.

The CBSE Class 12 board exams will be held from February 15 to April 4. It begins with the Entrepreneurship paper and ends with the Psychology exam.

The Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) exams will be held from February 18 to March 27, while the Indian School Certificate (ISC) 2025 exam will be held from February 13 to April 5.

ICSE board exam will begin with the English Language paper and end with the Environmental Science (Group II Elective) paper. ISC will begin with the Environmental Science paper and the last paper will be of Art Paper 5 (Crafts A).
