Missing Bhor astrologer found murdered

2 suspects remanded in police custody

Almost three weeks after a 30-year-old astrologer and tuition teacher from Bhor went missing,it has been discovered that he was abducted by two persons following a dispute and subsequently murdered.

Bhor police have identified the victim as Ashok Vitthal Mule,a resident of Vidyanagar in Bhor. The suspects,who have been arrested,have been identified as Devidas Hanumant Sargar (25) of Khadus in Malshiras and Sunil Yashwant Shinde,a resident of Venawadi.

Police said on September 25,Mule’s wife registered a missing complaint at Bhor police station. She tried calling him up on his cellphone and also tried to get in touch with Sargar and Shinde,thinking he might be with the two. However,none of them answered the calls,said police.

While investigating the case,cops simultaneously launched a search for Sargar and Shinde and arrested them on Sunday.

Inspector Ashok Wandekar,said,“They abducted Mule over a financial dispute and murdered him. They dumped his body at a secluded spot in Tamhini Ghat. His body has been recovered.” The two suspects have been remanded in police custody.
