Nursing a new future
The Sadhu Vaswani College of Nursing (SVCON) will now be moving to a permanent campus located at the St. Mira’s College campus after construction of the same has finally started in the last month. Dada JP Vaswani,and Baba Ramdev laid down the foundation stone last year on February 11.
The new campus will boast of a six-storey building and also of a fully equipped laboratory for nursing,nutrition,and community health. It will also feature a computer lab,a museum and a library amongst other facilities for the students.
The institute is currently lodged at the Sadhu Vaswani Mission’s Medical Complex where the 74 students of the course are studying.
On completion of the course students will work at the Sadhu Vaswani Mission’s Medical Complex,for one year.
For nurses who wish to specialize in various fields the college will also offer an MSc,Diploma and other post graduate courses for the same.

Sindhi convention
The second Sindhi Convention will be held at the Sadhu Vaswani Mission from February 20 to February 22. The three-day event will feature the likes of well-known Sindhi celebrities like,Shweta Keswani,Sweta Jumani,Neeta Lulla Tarun Tahiliani,and Rohan Sippy.
The function will aim at celebrating the fascinating saga of the Sindhi people,and will serve as a reminder of the rich treasures in the traditions,folklore and literature of the Sindhi people. The clarion call for it will be “Aya Ahiyun Pare Pare Khaan” (From far-off places have we come). A total of four sessions will be held over the three days. A session entitled “Spirituality in Modern Sindhi Literature” will be held on February 21. Dada J. P. Vaswani will also have an interactive one on one Question-Answer Session with the people who wish to speak to him.

Mahasamadhi
Rev Pravrajika Shraddhaprana Mataji,president of Sri Sarda Math and Ramakrishna Sarada Mission,Dakshineswar,Kolkata attained mahasamadhi on February 3. She was 90 years old. Disciple of Swami Virajananda,Mataji was the 3rd president of Sri Sarada Math and Ramakrishna Sarada Mission. A special puja,havan,reminiscences of Mataji and mahaprasad have been arranged today at Sarada Math,Pune.
