Festivities in the pipeline
Maha Shivratri at Shree Hari Hara Bhajana Samajam (Ganapati Temple),RastaPeth,will be celebrated in two spells. The rituals will included – Mahanyasa Ekadasa Rudrabhishekam of Lord Shiva along with pooja,archana,aarti and deeparadhana. The festivities will begin on February 23 and will go on till the next day. In future (March 7 and 8),the sabha has also arranged Shri Radha Madhav Kalyan Mahotsav. The Mahotsav will witness Ashtapati Bhajan,Samprathaya Bhajan,Divyanamam,Dolotsavam,Unchaviruthi and Deeparadhana to all deities. The rituals will be performed by Udayalur K Kalyanarama Bhagvathar from Chennai. On march 9th,Masi Makam will be celebrated by offering pooja and archana to Lord Murugan. The Samajam is also slated to perform Sata Chandi Homam,which will be conducted and performed by Shri Dinkara Parma from Kumbakonam of Tamil Nadu.

In good faith
The Shree Shanmukhananda Sabha recently celebrated the ‘Thai Puram Festival’ wherein prayers and eleven different types of Pujas were performed for Lord Karthikeya,at the Karthik Swami Temple located atop the Parvati Hills. During the puja 1008 lines were chanted in the name of the lord at the venue. The function concluded with Deeparadhana to the lord. The Sabha at the same temple will celebrate ‘Panguni Uthiram’ in April. The Shree Hari Hara Bhajana Samajam Ganapati temple in Rastapeth also celebrated the festival wherein chanting of holy verses and prayers to the temple deities were offered by the faithful. The temple also saw some delicate floral decorations done in praise of the lord.
