MBA student jumps off SBI building

Police said that she entered the SBI premises in Bavdhan after the bank closed on Monday.

A girl student of MBA allegedly committed suicide by jumping off the sixth floor of the State Bank of India (SBi) building in Bavdhan around 4.30 pm on Monday evening. Police have identified her as Sandhyakumari Kishankumar Dinkar (26),a resident of Dahanukar Colony,Kothrud,and a native of Bihar. Investigation is on to confirm the cause of her death. Police said that she entered the SBI premises in Bavdhan after the bank closed on Monday. She parked her two wheeler near the bank and was going inside when the security guard asked her the reason for her visit. She allegedly ignored the guard and went inside the SBI building. Police said she was speaking on her cellphone when the guard questioned her. She then reportedly jumped from the sixth floor of the building. She was immediately taken to a private hospital,but was pronounced dead on arrival. Police said that the girl was an MBA first year student of Bharati Vidyapeeth. Her brother is a lecturer at the same college. Earlier,she was studying in Ranchi and shifted to Pune for higher studies. Assistant police inspector Sanjay Thenge is investigating the case.
