Starting with the 2025–26 academic year, the online Centralised Admission Process (CAP) for junior colleges in Maharashtra has been expanded to cover the entire state. Previously limited to five regions—Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR), Pune-Pimpri Chinchwad, Nagpur, Nashik, and Amravati—the system will now allow students from all regions to apply to junior colleges across Maharashtra through a single, unified online platform. This also means that a student can apply to any junior college from across the state.
