Learn how to use your humble point-and-shoot camera like a pro from professional photographers Saee Bhurke and Mayur Desale (of Lalit Deshmukh Photography) at a one-day beginners’ workshop organised by Living Bridge. The workshop will cover topics such as how to use the different modes on a point-and-shoot-camera,compose or design a photo in different light conditions and other basic techniques through classroom and practice sessions. The workshop will take place in Aundh,on August 18,from 10 am to 6 pm. Those who register early will receive an early bird discount.
Monsoon Melodies
Banyan Tree brings monsoon music festival Barkha Ritu on July 27 at Yashwantrao Chavan Sabhagruha from 6.30 pm. Completing 12 years,the festival will see stalwarts such as Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia (flute),Pandit Shivkumar Sharma (santoor),Ustad Shujaat Khan (sitar),Pandit Chhannulal Mishra (vocals),Rahul Sharma (santoor) and a percussion ensemble.

After a blistering summer,there’s nothing more soothing than watching the monsoon bring renewed energy with greenery and flowers in full bloom. A new exhibition will display sculptures and paintings that capture the freshness of monsoon blossoms at The Renaissance Art Studio,from July 23 to 31. The exhibition,titled “Blooms”,will feature wall mounts,platters and paintings.
