In December this year,the country will see an addition of yet another music festival to what is now a consistently growing list. From the acts announced thus far,the Enchanted Valley Carnival (EVC) scheduled to be held at Aamby Valley City,which is a township a couple of hours from Mumbai,from December 6 to 8 appears to focus on dance music. These include British trance producer Chicane,Dutch duo TV Noise,Swedish DJ Jeremy Olander,Slovenian born techno DJ/producer UMEK and Australian musician Emma Hewitt who will perform with German trance duo Cosmic Gate. Four Indian acts have also been announced Delhis Arjun Vagale,DJ Ankytrixx of Kathmandu,Mumbai duo Lost Stories and Goas Anish Sood.
EVC was officially announced with a launch party at Mumbais Blue Frog on June 21 featuring British DJ/producer Scarlett Etienne. Before the actual festival begins,there will be a few promotional gigs,one featuring DJs Claudia Cazacu and Linnea Schossow and another with American producer Steve Aoki.
Besides the music which is spread over four stages,the festivals official Facebook page also promises a number of other activities,including zorbing,paintball and grape crushing. The usual food and liquor stalls,flea markets,and gaming areas will also be present. Tickets and entry details will be announced shortly.
