Inter-school painting competition held

Shantanu Choudhary of Mahaveer School,Suvan Shukla of Tulips and Vrushali Desarda of Venky’s School,Ankit Chowgule of Saraswati Vidyalaya,Kasturi Jawalgirikar of Jog School and Smita Jagtap won the inter-school drawing competition in various categories.

Shantanu Choudhary of Mahaveer School,Suvan Shukla of Tulips and Vrushali Desarda of Venky’s School,Ankit Chowgule of Saraswati Vidyalaya,Kasturi Jawalgirikar of Jog School and Smita Jagtap won the inter-school drawing competition in various categories.

The competition,organised by Shivrudra Pratishtnan and Hutatma Rahguru Sangh,was divided into categories viz. primary,class I and II,class III and IV,class V to VII,class VIII to X and open.

Nishad Ghadge from Bishop’s School won the second prize in primary category while Aditya Sakhare came third and Shruti Sethiya was fourth.

In the class I and II category,Zeenat Shaikh came second,while Raveena Sonawane,Purva Solanki and Shruti Sawant stood third,fourth and fifth respectively. In the category of class III and IV,Niraj Paranjpe,Chinmay Kulkarni and Dipti Warke won the second,third and fourth prize respectively.

In the category comprising class V to VII,Ankit Godbole,Rutu Dhole,Anula Waghale and Mohan Kadam won the second,third,fourth and fifth prize respectively. Prachiti Agarkar won the second prize in the category of class VIII to X and was followed by Namrata Patil who came third and Sejal Khinsara who stood fifth.

The second prize in the open category was won by Deepika Nigade,while the third and fourth prize was bagged by Amrapali Sawant and Pooja Bhalerao. A total of 6,000 students from 40 schools in Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad participated in the competition,a release said.
