Illegal Bangladeshi migrant arrested in Pune

Police Havaldar Sampat Mule lodged the FIR in this case at Mahalunge MIDC police station on Wednesday. As per a press release, the accused allegedly entered India illegally.

Police sub inspector Dattatraya Jadhav is investigating the case.

Pimpri Chinchwad police have arrested an alleged illegal Bangladeshi migrant who was working as a labourer at a private company’s site in Shinde village in Khed taluka, Pune district. Police said the suspect Subroto Baidya (25) is a native of Barisal in Bangladesh.

Police Havaldar Sampat Mule lodged the FIR in this case at Mahalunge MIDC police station on Wednesday. As per a press release, the accused allegedly entered India illegally.

Police sources said he is suspected to have come into India by crossing the international border in West Bengal in 2021. Police have booked him under sections of the Foreigners Act and Passport Act. Police sub inspector Dattatraya Jadhav is investigating the case.
