Defeated NCP candidates from Maval and Shirur Azam Pansare and Vilas Lande have been missing after the elections results. While Pansare remains unheard of,Lande today issued a statement,accepting his defeat.
I accept the peoples mandate, said Lande who was decimated by Shiv Senas Shivaji Adhalrao Patil with a massive margin of 1.78 lakh votes. Lande said he will rectify the mistakes and will continue to serve the people in future.
I do not hold anybody responsible for the defeat. I received full support and co-operation from the leaders and party workers of NCP,the Congress,the RPI,my well wishers,friends and relatives in the election campaign. I am highly obliged to those voters who showed trust in me and voted for me in the election. Though I have lost the election,I can continue to work for the people,as no post is required for that. I received lot of affection from the people in the Shirur constituency.
Lande said the picture could have been different,had I received little more time for the preparation of the election. My heartiest congratulations to my opponent Shivajirao Adhalrao. Without any party politics I am ready to help him in the development of Shirur constituency, he stated.

Lande said failure is a stepping-stone to success. This defeat has given me a chance for introspection. Ill try to take lesson from this defeat and try to correct the mistakes. Though I have lost the election,I will continue working for the people.
