The Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examination that begins from Thursday has 11,84,226 students appearing for the exam from 5301 junior colleges in Pune,Nagpur,Aurangabad,Mumbai,Kolhapur,Amravati,Nashik and Latur divisions. Of,these,about one-lakh students will be appearing from Pune.
There are around 5,16,876 students from the science branch,3,10928 from arts,2,93,084 from commerce and 63,337 students who have opted for minimum competency vocational course (MCVC),as stated in an official release by the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Examination
This is the last chance for repeaters to take the MCVC examination with old course,while they will have to appear for the language subjects according to the new syllabus.
According to the press statement,students from all branches with learning disabilities like dyslexia,dyscalculia and dysgraphia will be allowed to use a calculator for mathematics and accounts and auditing from commerce branch.
However,calculators in mobile phones or other such gargets will not be allowed it states.
As it has been introduced,examination for information technology subject will be conducted online for which 56,823 students have registered.
