Nitin Desai felicitated
Nitin R Desai,chairman,PBMA’s H V Desai Eye Hospital, was felicitated by former President APJ Abdul Kalam on July 16 during the AGBM meeting of Vision 2020 – the Right to Sight,India held at Patna. The event is a consortium of INGO’s/NGO’s providing a platform for the think tank of eye care at a national as well as international level to reduce avoidable blindness of 12 million people and to bring it down to zero level by the year 2020.
Wellness workshop
A wellness workshop is being conducted by Quantum Infotrainers and Consultants at Hotel Le Meridien,on July 31 and August 1. This workshop is being arranged for people who wish to understand wellness that includes physical,mental,behavioural and dietary modifications in the life style. The doctors and experts like Dr Manisha Bandishti and Dr Bhooshan Shukla will be present.

Symbiosis Centre of Health care is organising a blood donation camp on all six campuses of Symbiosis in Pune and also at bangalore and Nashik on July 31. It is an annual event organized in commemoration of the International Students Day. Blood banks of Deenanath Mangaeshkar Hospital,Noble Hospital,PSI,Poona Hospital and KEM Hospital are collaborating with Symbiosis. Students of the MBA – Hospital and Healthcare Management of SIHS have ensured an enthusiastic response by organising and spreading this awareness through skits,plays,banners and publicity.
