As many as 14 new swine flu cases were reported in the district. Of the total number of patients,three are on ventilator support,said district health officials.
State health officials have convened a meeting of private hospitals in Mumbai and Pune on Thursday to discuss managing swine flu cases and creating awareness on early treatment. The State Additional Chief Secretary will hold the meeting,said PMC health department chief S T Pardeshi.
No water in parts of
PUNE: Parts of the city will not have water supply on Thursday owing to urgent repair work at Wadgaon water works and Warje water works. There will be no water on Thursday owing to repair and maintenance work at the water works. Supply will be restored on Friday, said a statement issued by the Pune Municipal Corporation. Area that will be affected include Sinhagad Road,Satara Road,Katraj,Dhankawadi and Sahakarnagar. The closure of Warje water works will shut off water supply to Kothrud,Karve Road,Erandwane,Aundh,Bopodi and Gokhalenagar,the statement said.
BSNL launches video telephony service
The BSNL on Tuesday launched video telephony service in Pune in collaboration with Sai Infosystems India (SIS),The service will enable people to view each other while calling on the landline phone. The launch is a value addition to the BSNL landline service and is primarily aimed at the enterprise segment and international callers.
