Surpassing trends set in previous years, admissions to First Year Junior College (FYJC) in state government colleges crossed the 50% mark in round 3 itself, in the centralised admission process (CAP) that concluded on July 14.
“Every year admissions go up to around 47% in the third round. This year it has crossed 50%,” said Sampat Suryawanshi, Director of Education (Secondary and Higher Secondary). “It depends on the colleges prefered by the candidates. This time the procedure went well.”

A total of 44,202 students have been admitted to 325 colleges in Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) and Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) area through CAP. As many as 88,046 students had registered for admissions.
